Philippine Eagle

woot! its been a while since i last uploaded something! this is actually an entry to a local contest i'm joining. the theme is to draw anything related to nationalism, and since i've been longing to draw an animal, why not draw our national bird? and there it was. my drawing may look plain at first glance, yet i wanted for it to convey the feeling of a fading existence. the philippine eagle is already on the brink of extinction as it is endemic to my country and has been hunted by locals for various purpose. i want this drawing to promote awareness unto how this national treasure is slowly slipping away; that these birds are already in the dawn of their existence, and it is up to us if we'd still want to see them till the next day.
